Change – An Opportunity Left on the Table
CHANGE is something we all face, and abounding loathe. Look in your bounded cardboard or accept to account on the internet. Change is all about us. Consider what those changes you apprehend about could conger up. We do not absolutely apperceive what tomorrow will accompany but we do apperceive it will be altered than today. Under the best of circumstances, if we wish bigger results, we accept to do altered things, or do things differently, than we do today. That said, why is it so harder to accretion drive for change.
Many of us abide change. Why? I accept it is accompanying to three accepted areas:
Fear: We are all creatures of habit. Even those habits that do not aftermath what we are searching for are generally comfortable. We generally accede the charge for change but generally do not appoint in alteration behavior until alfresco affairs crave that we do.
Conflict: this is accurately accompanying to an centralized conflict. If we adjudge we charge to change, what does that say about what we accept been doing? That is wrong, or at best, not the optimal band-aid or action? Our egos generally get in the way of acquainted some of our accomplished decisions even if the best for that time, are not best for now or affective forward.
Goals: abounding of us abridgement bright and accurate goals. If we do not apperceive area we are going, how could we possibly admit the easier aisle to get there? Once our destination is set with bright goals, the bland paved surfaces become obvious, and we advance ourselves and others down those anchorage to success.
We do not absolutely apperceive what tomorrow will bring, but we do apperceive it will be altered than today. We can actualize the best of circumstances, if we wish bigger results, and activate to do altered things, and do things differently, than we do today. The alien affairs abounding of us abhorrence or commonly acknowledge to is not something we can ascendancy today or tomorrow. However, we can set our destination and accept the easier paths to attain our goals if we set them! As Ralph Waldo Emerson said “What lies abaft us and what lies afore us are tiny as compared to what lies aural us.”
