If you have a steady income and a good job, you might not think about the problems that come with unemployment. But in the days we are living, anything could happen to your company even if you have no say about it. Having unemployment insurance could prove very beneficial later considering the fact that this kind of policy is very cheap.

Unemployment insurance should cover several risks, not only the one that comes only if you are fired. A small accident could put you in a temporary invalidity and employers are usually not willing to pay salaries during this period. Be sure the insurance company covers all these, so you won’t have any worries while you are staying back home. Also sign a redundancy insurance policy if you want.

You could also get some other risks covered with your unemployment insurance like car and domestic accidents. Just be sure about your insurance provider and what risks do you want to cover and also the price for it. Be sure to read your contract carefully, especially the phrases written in tiny letters. They might sneak in some clauses that would make your policy worthless. Find some professional to read your contract because this contract could last for the rest of your life.
